NBC4 Washington: Local DC News App Reviews

Reminds me of "New Coke" and how that was rejected by the majority of loyal customers that were happy with what they had. Liked the prior version much better.

App crashes when trying to load page to watch live news broadcast. It also redirects me to download the app if I click "Watch Live TV". I like watching the news when Im away from my tv, but the app is useless. The old version of this app was bad, but this is much worse.

Tried downloading several times. The weather banner appears on the bottom of the page for a few moments and when you tap it it brings you right back to the download page again. Storm Team 4.....where are you!

Updated app ruined the original, no Landscape. Very disappointing.

Good all around app. The News 4 team is the one I trust first everyday to give me a great weather forecast and local news stories.

Despite the fact that I have downloaded the new app, I cant enter the site, constantly get a message telling me to download the new app.

The old weather app is far superior to whats on the NBC4 app. Please dont retire it!

Wow idk whos in charge of the app now but they should be fired seriously. Ive had the app for 4 years now and check it everyday, a few times a day. The graphics and quality went down but I love nbc4 so I decided to tough it out. Until now. Wiggity whack. Im deleting it and Im truly disappointed Ill have to get my local news from stations I dont watch.

Adverts on each video take forever. One advert when booting up the app should be enough. Adverts for each story are as long as each story and it is the same advert each time. Lame.

Used to work. Now I get the logo on the top with a blank screen, no stories. Totally useless. 0 stars.

I will probably delete this app because when I want to simply, quickly check the weather, I am bombarded with annoying ads. Surely they can do better.

So far this app is straight forward and easy to use. Information is good, weather feature is nice. Location services needs to be updated to allow access when using app only feature. As it is now, you can allow access, draining battery life, or off.

I am not sure why the flurry of negative reviews. This is not supposed to be a high production app. But for what it is, it does a good job keeping me in the loop on what is happening in DC metro area. I barely watch TV anymore, so this app is perfect to let me know about the latest closings, detours, shootings, etc...

Downloaded this because I love the Storm Team 4 app and its being retired. I hate this app. Guess Ill have to find weather and alerts someplace else. Very disappointed. And they say theyre still working for us...Not! This app is sure not working for me! And Enough with all the notifications. Stop already!!!!!

Great group. Usually dismiss local news but this team is fun to watch

I still have the weather app. The weather section in this app is awful!! Why did they change it?

If people could give zero star ratings, this app wouldnt even have a 1.5 star rating. No landscape, seriously?

Not rotating - getting sooooo old

Might be nice if it didnt crash every single time I try to access anything. Pointless.

Downloaded app after got new phone. So disappointed! Deleted it after kept getting unwanted notifications! Just want the weather app back.
